Abbott Introduces P3technology Sports Beverage

Abbott has introduced a sports nutrition performance beverage with P3technology, which the company claims sustains energy, increases workout capacity and protects muscles from breakdown.

Abbott said EAS Peak features a blend of beta-alanine, isomaltulose and HMB (beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate) that help maximise physical performance.

The integrated P3 technology increases workout capacity of the athletes with 1.1g beta-alanine, an amino acid used to produce carnosine in the muscle.

The company said the product sustains energy with isomaltulose, a slowly-digested carbohydrate that maintains blood glucose levels over a longer period of time compared with other carbohydrates.

The 16oz, caffeine-free beverage is available in Orange Spark, Peach Surge and Fruit Power flavours.
