Indian State to Build Food Park

Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL&FS) will form a special purpose vehicle with the Indian state of Orissa to develop a food park in the region.

The park will be built on 250 acres of land in the Khurdha district and is expected to attract an investment of Rs20bn ($426m).

IL&FS will help boost investment in the food processing sector and also offer input in finalising the food processing policy of the state government.

The tender for the project will be floated by August, according to business-standard.com.
