Kellogg to expand Pringles plant in Poland with €110m investment

The Kellogg Company is set to expand the production capacity of its Pringles factory in Poland with an investment of €110m.

Construction has begun on a new manufacturing line at the Pringles plant, located in Kutno’s Lodz Special Economic Zone.

The new manufacturing line will help the company meet the growing demand for Pringles products across Europe. It is scheduled to start production by May 2021.

Kellogg Europe president Dave Lawlor said: “We’re delighted to start work on this expansion of our plant here in Poland. We know that consumers love Pringles and we are seeing continued growth for Pringles across all of our core markets in Europe.

“This investment means that we’ll be able to increase the production of our food to meet the increasing demand we’re experiencing. This is great news for Kellogg, great news for Pringles fans everywhere and great news for the team here in Kutno.”

The facility was built for the production of Special K in 2008. In 2014, it started the production of Pringles. Since its establishment, it has employed more than 440 people and the new investment is expected to create even more employment opportunities.

It will be the fourth manufacturing line to be installed at the Kutno plant and will be housed in a 21,000m² building.

Once installed, the new production line will use advanced technology to increase the production capacity by 34% for the manufacture of nearly 60,000t of Pringles annually.
