“These two investments represent a key part of this strategy and we look forward to delivering new and exciting products to US consumers.”

Bakkavor opened its second production facility in Charlotte, North Carolina, and will begin production of a wide range of artisan breads, including focaccias, flatbreads and dough balls across the US.

With the opening of the facilities in the US, the company intends to strengthen its portfolio, as well as enhance its presence and build key relationships with retailers.

Bakkavor has been serving the UK’s freshly prepared food (FPF) market, which includes meals, salads, desserts and bread.

The company’s international segment has operations in the US and China, catering to the needs of both retail and foodservice customers.
