Pepsi Forecasts Low Growth

PepsiCo said it expects the company’s earnings per share to grow 11% to 13% on a constant-currency basis in 2010 from $3.71 per share last year.

Industry analysts expect PepsiCo to earn $4.15 per share for 2010, an increase of 11.9% from 2009, according to Reuters.

The soft-drink maker said it has also completed the $7.8bn acquisition of Pepsi Bottling Group and PepsiAmericas.

Last week Coca-Cola announced it was to buy the North American operations of bottler Coca-Cola Enterprises for $12bn.
