WHA expands footprint in India and China

Australia’s infant formula and baby food manufacturer Wattle Health (WHA) has secured its first order from the Indian distribution company Vasudevan and Sons (Vasudevan) for supplying it’s 100% natural baby food range.

With the deal, WHA intends to expand its footprint in the Indian market and compete with other brands in the country.

Vasudevan will distribute WHA’s Wattle Baby puree products in the Indian market.

The Australian baby food company is also planning to introduce its infant formula in the Indian market through Vasudevan at a later stage.

Wattle Health executive chairman Lazarus Karasavvidis said: “This order has allowed Wattle Health to enter one of the fastest-growing and most dynamic economies.

“We will take advantage of this opportunity to enter the Indian market and use it to increase distribution channels for our baby food range.

“We will also look to grow our presence and increase our footprint in this exciting market.”

WHA has also received an order from a distributor in Macau, China, and agreed to purchase its complete nutritional dairy range.

As per the deal, the Macau-based distributor will be purchasing WHA’s infant formula range, student nutritional milk powder, maternal nutritional milk powder, vitality plus, full cream, and skimmed milk powder.

The deal will allow WHA to serve the domestic market in Macau and take advantage of the large cross-border opportunity into China.
