CP Kelco opens new laboratory in Dubai

US-based speciality hydrocolloids producer CP Kelco has expanded its Dubai office by opening a new laboratory.

The company said that its expanded office in Dubai Science Park will bolster its commitment for providing technical capabilities and customer service throughout the Middle East, Africa and Turkey.

CP Kelco president Don Rubright said: “Since 2013, our Dubai office has made tremendous strides in developing business and providing services to customers and regional distributors throughout the Middle East in the food/beverage, consumer goods and industrial segments.

“Having recognised the growth potential across the region, we have invested in local talent and capabilities to continue developing our business and enhancing our ability to bring new products to the marketplace.”

The new laboratory for food and beverage applications will offer technical support, which will enable regional food and beverage manufacturers to expedite the product development process.

The new facility will be used for developing new concepts addressing market needs, and focus on use of local raw materials and local production of prototypes, which will enable a faster time to market for new product launches.

Rubright added that the new laboratory will improve service levels across a broad range of customers.
