Deals this week: Renewal Mill, TOMI Environmental Solutions, Adret Retail

Renewal Mill has raised $2.5m through a seed funding round led by HG Ventures.

Based in the US, Renewal Mill is a food ingredients company that converts the by-products of food manufacturing into ingredients.

HG Ventures managing director Kip Frey will join the Renewal Mill board of directors.

The firm intends to use the funds to increase production and enter new markets.

TOMI Environmental Solutions and Arkema have entered a global co-marketing and supply agreement for TOMI’s Fogging Technology, SteraMist, for food safety applications.

Based in the US, TOMI is a decontamination and infection prevention solutions provider through the manufacturing, licensing, servicing and selling of its SteraMist brand of products.

Arkema is a manufacturer and supplier of food-grade hydrogen peroxide for use in an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-registered solution.

The collaboration enables both firms to deliver a non-bleach food safety process for global food clients, who are currently using Arkema’s hydrogen peroxide for organic-certified products.

Adret Retail Pvt Ltd has raised Rs178m ($2.5m) through a fresh funding round led by Fireside Ventures.

The funding round also involved participation from 3ONE4 Capital Partners, Madhusudan Kela, as well as others.

Based in India, Adret Retail offers ayurvedic food products and operator of Kapiva Ayurveda.

New Hope Dairy Co Ltd has secured $68.51m through a public offering of 85.3711 million shares, priced at  ¥5.45 ($0.8) a share.

Based in China, New Hope Dairy is involved in the production, sale, research and development of dairy products and milk drinks.

Soupergirl intends to raise up to $1.5m through a seed funding round.

Based in the US, Soupergirl is a producer of soup using homemade fresh and seasonal ingredients.

NutriTap has secured Rs20m ($0.28m) through a seed funding round led by angel investor Apoorva Patni and Sameer Khetarpal, as well as senior members of McKinsey & Co, Google and others.

Based in India, NutriTap is a supplier of healthy foods and beverages. The company was founded by Kumar and Medha Mishra.

Supa Star Foods has raised an undisclosed sum through a venture funding round from Roots Ventures.

Supa Star Foods is a producer and seller of sweet corn, peri-peri, flavoured corns and masala recipes in India, while Roots Ventures invests in start-ups and growth-stage firms.
