We have a range of standard packs, but we specialise in custom designs. We can design a pack that will present your product at its best in the marketplace. We can produce a variety of food pack styles, including:

• Tub with clip-on lid
• Tub heat-sealed with film (with or without a clip-on lid)
• Punnet with hinged lid
• Circular clamshell
• Open tray

As part of our selection of standard food packs, we have a range of salad bowl clamshells and food trays for immediate delivery.

Food pack materials – clear plastic, barrier films and coloured trays

We manufacture food trays from a variety of materials, including:

• PET – clear and colours
• PVC – clear and colours
• Polypropylene – for greater heat resistance, especially for microwave foods
• Multilayer with heat-seal – improved seal integrity when oils, etc. may drip on the seal surface prior to sealing
• Multilayer PP foam with heat-seal – improved seal integrity for microwave foods and heat insulation
• Multilayer with barrier properties (oxygen and water vapour)

Food pack design service

We can realise your pack design or develop one for you. We produce 3D computer images as part of the design process to assist you in visualising your production pack. Prototypes can be produced if desired before any commitment to production tooling. Once you are satisfied with the product design, we design the tools and have them made to our strict standards. After production trials and approval, production is commenced.

High-volume or low-volume production of rigid plastic packaging for the food industry

Because we have a variety of production machine types, we can accommodate production quantities from a few thousand to millions. The low-volume machines also use more basic – and hence more economic – tooling that better suits the budget-conscious customer.

Merchandising trays and displays

Aztec also makes merchandising trays to help display your packaged goods on the supermarket shelf. We also make packaging and plastic components for the medical industry and general merchandise.
