Palsgaard appoints partners to market emulsifier solutions in Middle East

Danish company Palsgaard has appointed four new distribution partners to market its emulsifiers and stabilisers in the Middle East.

The companies ATOM FZCO, Alawsaj General Trading, Gusto and Brenntag Saudi Arabia will be responsible for distributing a complete portfolio of Palsgaard products to bakery, dairy, ice cream, margarine and mayonnaise and salad dressings segments.

Palsgaard Middle East sales director Cai Clemen Christensen said: “We’re excited about the bright prospects for our ingredients in the Middle East.

“There is growing demand among food manufacturers across the Gulf region for sustainable and innovative ingredient solutions.

“Our emulsifiers and stabilisers are perfectly aligned with this trend and our new distribution partners will ensure they are available in more Middle Eastern countries than ever before.”

Under the agreement, ATOM FZCO will distribute Palsgaard products in Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Yemen and United Arab Emirates (UAE), while Alawsaj General Trading will represent the company in Iraq.

Gusto will distribute Palsgaard products in Qatar, and Brenntag Saudi Arabia will represent the company in the Saudi Arabian markets.

All four specialist distributors will carry stock locally.

Palsgaard’s ingredients offer benefits such as suspension of insoluble particles, effective stabilisation of high protein systems, improved nutrition profiles and increased efficiency and profitability in a range of applications.

All the company’s palm oil-based emulsifiers are made with RSPO-certified segregated palm oil.

The company has announced the distribution agreements ahead of the GulFood Manufacturing trade show, which will take place from 6-8 November at Dubai World Trade Centre.

At this event, Palsgaard will showcase the benefits of its sustainably produced emulsifiers and stabilisers.
