Umpqua Dairy selects ReposiTrak food safety solution

US-based Umpqua Dairy has adopted ReposiTrak’s food safety compliance management system to manage records from upstream suppliers.

Park City Group’s ReposiTrak provides compliance management and track-and-trace solutions for food, pharma and dietary supplement safety.

Umpqua Dairy purchasing supervisor Greg Admire said: “We were looking for an automated system to help us manage our growing list of required business and food safety records.

“Since we are SQF-certified and already using ReposiTrak to manage our SQF audits, it just made sense to expand our use of ReposiTrak in order to keep all of our audit and business documentation in one place.”

The compliance management system receives, stores and shares documentation, and also manages compliance through dashboards and alerts for missing or expired documents.

"It just made sense to expand our use of ReposiTrak in order to keep all of our audit and business documentation in one place.”

On the other hand, the track-and-trace system identifies product ingredients and their supply chain path quickly, which is useful for organisations during a product recall.

The system can identify backwards chaining sources and forward chaining recipients of products in near real time, thereby minimising risk in the supply chain.

Park City Group chairman and CEO Randall Fields said: “We are happy to provide SQF registered suppliers with a holistic platform to manage their food safety documentation, audits and processes.

“We share Umpqua Dairy‘s desire to provide transparency from farm to fork, and are pleased to have them utilise our system.”
