Founded in Bern, Switzerland, bawaco specialises in the construction of safe plants for the processing of foods, in particular fruit and dairy products. We create simple, yet safe food processing plants on an international scale.

We are industry-recognised for our flexibility, and implement a wide range of liquid food systems for the food processing industry. These range from a single pump, to entire processing lines or plants. We adopt a flexible approach to our projects, and make our clients' plans a reality, meeting specific requirements for each job.

FOOD PROCESSING SYSTEMS

Our service includes engineering, automation and complete system solutions in the areas of milk processing, aseptic milk units (or complete parts) yoghurt production lines, tailor-made pasteurisers and sterilisers, aseptic fruit preparation, fruit cooking plants, mixing systems, sterile tanks, fruit juice and concentrate production lines, CIP plants and tanks.

DAIRY PROCESSING PLANTS

We channel over 50 years’ experience in the dairy industry into our processing plants. We have realized projects from a simple milk reception to complex aseptic processing lines, to making butter with a butter machine, or the making of AMIX butter.

ASEPTIC MILK PLANTS

Our aims are:

ASEPCTIC FRUIT PROCESSING UNIT

Our experience extends into the fruit processing industry, from a simple fruit cooking tank to a full aseptic fruit processing unit with an automatic batch system. We work closely with our customers from the initial food processing plant concept through to completion of the processing line.

As an engineering company, we are able to deliver the completed lines and plants, as well as the initial concept, idea and automation. We are an independent company, which allows us to deliver the best equipment to our customers, as we are not tied to any suppliers, especially for control systems and components. This means that we utilise the software, valves and MSR that our customers prefer.

FOOD PROCESSING PLANT OPTIMISATION

We enable each production facility to avoid standalone systems, and provide customers with solutions using their graphic interface and standard components. Together with our partners, we are available after the completion of the product, to offer on-line support throughout the year.
