Nestlé to expand coffee factory in England

Swiss food company Nestlé plans to invest £110m ($171.41m) in the expansion of its coffee production factory in Tutbury, central England, UK.

The expansion, which involves the installation of 12 new high-speed production lines, will triple the factory’s existing capacity and enable the company to meet the increasing demand for its Nescafé Dolce Gusto-branded coffee products.

Following the expansion, the plant will produce Nescafé Dolce Gusto coffee for the UK market as well as for export to around 38 countries.

Nestlé UK and Ireland chairman and chief executive officer Paul Grimwood said that the company is committed to the continued modernisation of its UK manufacturing capabilities.
