Hostess and Mars Chocolate launch co-branded brownies in US

Baked goods firm Hostess Brands and confectionery firm Mars Chocolate have introduced co-branded brownies in the US.

The two products, namely Hostess Brownies made with M&M’s chocolate candies and Hostess Brownies made with MILKY WAY pieces, were developed through a licensing partnership between the two firms.

Hostess chief marketing officer Burke Raine said: “With brownies being such an important segment of the category, we set out to elevate the brownie experience with the Hostess brand, and in doing so, co-branded with Mars through a strategic licensing deal.

“Intensely rich brownies will satisfy most chocolate lovers, but pair them with two of America’s most beloved chocolate candy brands, M&M’s and MILKY WAY, and you’ve got a truly irresistible treat.”

The Hostess Brownies made with M&M’s feature a brownie with M&M’s swirled inside and a chocolate frosting finished with milk chocolate M&M’s.

The Hostess Brownies made with MILKY WAY has a soft chocolate brownie topped with caramel icing and finished with a layer of MILKY WAY candy bar pieces.

The brownies come in a six-count multipack carton for a suggested retail price of $3.99 and a two-count single-serve pack for $1.89.
