Hain Celestial enters into joint venture with Future Consumer in India

US-based organic and natural products company Hain Celestial has announced about the joint venture (JV) with Future Consumer (FCL) and Hain Tilda India (Hain Tilda) to pursue  food marketing and development opportunities in India.

FCL is the food and FMCG division of India-based retail operator Future Group.

The new JV will focus on manufacturing, marketing and distribution of natural and organic products, including snacks, plant-based beverages and kids' food products under various Hain Celestial brands such as Terra, Sensible Portions, Dream and Earth's Best.

Hain Celestial founder president and chief executive officer Irwin Simon said: "We are pleased to expand our presence in India with Future Group.

"Rajnish Ohri, our managing director in India, and his team will work together with Future Group to provide us with an opportunity to grow distribution of Hain Celestial's brands and products throughout India with its growing population and our focus on families in a more meaningful way."  

Future Group chief executive officer Kishore Biyani said: “Hain Celestial is one of the most respected companies in the organic and natural segment.

“Together, we will be able to provide Indian consumers with products that set the standards for good taste and are healthful too.”

The company further explained that Hain Tilda will be continuing to market and distribute products under the Tilda brand.
