M&As this week: Italian Rose Garlic Products, Tiff’s Treats, Jain Farm Fresh Foods Limited

Italian Rose Garlic Products has acquired US-based fresh and refrigerated salsa producer La Mexicana Food Products.

Based in the US, Italian Rose manufactures and distributes salsas, dips, sauces and spreads to retail and foodservice markets across the country.

The acquisition is expected to strengthen Italian Rose’s brands and recipes.

Cookies and brownies producer Tiff’s Treats has acquired warm cookie delivery company Jake’s Bakes.

Tiff’s Treats will open a new location in the US, following the transaction.

Both entities involved in the acquisition are based in the US.

The transaction will expand Tiff’s Treats’ position in the market.

Jain Farm Fresh Foods Limited (JFFFL), through its Belgium-based subsidiary, has acquired 100% stake in dehydrated vegetables, spices and food ingredients distributor INNOVAFOOD NV.

Based in India, JFFFL is a manufacturer and processor of fruits and vegetables and a subsidiary of chemical company Jain Irrigation Systems Limited India (JISLI).

The acquisition will expand JFFFL’s food ingredients market.

Ag Growth International has acquired 100% stake in Danmare Group and its affiliate Danmare.

Based in Canada, Ag Growth International is a manufacturer and distributor of grain handling, storage and conditioning equipment, while Danmare Group, also based in Canada, is an engineering solutions and project management services provider to the food industry.

The transaction will expand Ag Growth International’s product solutions portfolio for the food industry.

Food ingredients supplier Kuze Co has agreed to purchase 10% stake in commercial food products producer and seller Tokyo Central Foods Co.

Both the companies involved in the acquisition are based in Japan.

Dairy company Sremska mlekara has agreed to acquire 100% stake in tobacco manufacturer Duvanska Industrija Bujanovac by purchasing the remaining 42.07% stake.

Both the companies involved in the acquisition are based in Serbia.
