Sanitary pumps

Wilden is a global leader in sanitary pumps and offers a wide range of solutions for various food, beverage and dairy applications. With the development of its Saniflo™ Hygienic Series™ (HS) line of AODD pumps and pulsation dampeners, Wilden offers the versatility, safety and capability of efficiently pumping a wide range of viscosities, solids and shear-sensitive products. The HS line of pumps is designed to meet strict guidelines established for sanitary process applications such as FDA, 3A and EHEDG.

Saniflo HS pumps are designed with food processors in mind and offer the ease of maintenance, cleanability, portability, dead-head capable and self-priming attributes that are critical in several applications found within food operations. Designed to meet both mainstream and specialized applications, the most basic configurations of these pumps offer high polish, flow-through liquid chamber design and no hidden areas in the check-valve seat area. Advanced™ configurations include integral piston PTFE diaphragms, the Wil-Gard™ diaphragm-monitoring system and a swivel stand that permits drain-ability.

Air distribution system for AODD pumps

Wilden Pro-Flo X™ HS pumps are designed specifically to handle the most demanding sanitary and hygienic applications. Every Pro-Flo X pump comes equipped with the patent-pending Pro-Flo X (air distribution system) ADS, which includes the Efficiency Management System™ (EMS) that allows the user to control flow rate and efficiency with the simple turn of a dial. The Pro-Flo X ADS provides reliable operation, high flow rates, superior efficiency, and anti-freezing characteristics.

Drum unloader systems

The Wilden Saniflo drum unloader system (DUS) has been designed to hygienically handle highly viscous food products that need to be transferred from storage barrels into mixing tanks during the manufacturing process. Using stainless-steel parts designed for use with a Wilden P4 of PX4 AODD pump, the system incorporates a pneumatic piston system that acts upon a follower plate to assist in the removal of highly viscous products from drums.

The Saniflo DUS is designed to optimize the pump’s suction condition so that it draws in the product instead of air, which prevents cavitation and increases efficiency.

Surge dampeners

Wilden Saniflo HS surge dampeners effectively suppress pulsations associated with reciprocating pumps, prolonging equipment life and maximizing mean time between service. Saniflo dampeners are designed for demanding solids handling applications commonly found in the food industry and are approved for use in explosive environments. Utilizing a liquid chamber designed for superior delicate product handling, drain-ability, and diaphragm life, these dampeners make a perfect match for your Saniflo HS pump applications.

Specialty pumps for food processing

Wilden vacuum-controlled (VC) Saniflo Series metal pumps feature the design parameters necessary for sanitary applications where the passing of large solids is needed, along with the absence of media degradation. Saniflo VC pumps are ideal for these applications because they do not employ an air motor, rather utilize a vacuum generator to draw the product into the wetted housing.

Constructed of stainless steel and consisting of only two moving parts, the pump can pass solids as large as 15.2cm (6in). The VC pump complies with USDA requirements concerning the sanitary handling of food products.
