Horn to distribute Savoury Systems International’s products in Western US

North American specialty ingredients firm Horn has signed a distribution agreement with Savoury Systems International (SSI), a New Jersey-based yeast extract specialist.

Horn will hold the sole distribution rights of SSI products in the Western US, and this agreement was effective as of 1 October.

SSI sales vice-president and director Kevin McDermott said: “Horn's industry reputation is impeccable and the decision to enter into a partnership with its seasoned sales team is timely as SSI seeks to further expand our footprint in the west.

“This partnership provides SSI with broader technical sales and logistics support to better serve our target markets and opens mutually beneficial business opportunities for both parties.”

SSI has a wide portfolio of products that includes non-GMO hydrolysed vegetable proteins (HVPs), savoury yeast extracts, yeast-based flavours, organic ingredients and other flavour enhancers.

According to the agreement, Horn will distribute SSI products in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
