DENOMEGA™ OMEGA-3 FUNCTIONAL FOOD INGREDIENTS

This is our top of the line Omega-3 ingredients for use in foods and beverages. The products are taste and odour free oils, powders and liquid emulsions rich in Omega-3, particularly in DHA and EPA. The Omega-3 concentration varies from 10% to 40% of which DHA and EPA are the dominant components.

DENOMEGA™ OMEGA-3 OIL

Denomega™ oil is currently our most popular Omega-3 functional food ingredient for dairy based foods and beverages. Current dairy applications include fresh and UHT milks, yoghurts, spreads and cheeses. It also finds its use in a wide range of other foods.

DENOMEGA™ OMEGA-3 POWDER

Denomega™ powder is predominately the choice Omega-3 ingredient for baked goods. Although the Denomega™ 100 is a viable option, bread, biscuit, cookie and bar producers prefer the relative ease of handling the powder. The Denomega™ powder is also a great choice for Omega-3 in certain beverages.

DENOMEGA™ OMEGA-3 LIQUID

Denomega™ liquid is predominately focused on fruit based beverages and other challenging applications. The challenge can be extreme shelf life requirements, use of extreme processing temperatures or a need for the Omega-3 to co-exist with iron or copper in the finished product.

DENOMEGA™ TAILOR-MADE ANTIOXIDANT INGREDIENTS

Denomega™ tailor made is for products that require unique processing or choice of antioxidants. This option is only available to our largest customers. That can include additions as well as deductions to the antioxidant mix used to preserve the product prior to and in the finished products.

Some of our Denomega products are approved for use in certified organic products (the only OMRI listed Omega-3 oil in the US), certified Kosher (Orthodox Union – Circle U) and meet Halal requirements.

DENOTASTE™ OMEGA-3 RICH COD LIVER OIL (CLO)

Denotaste CLO has excellent sensory qualities and targets the liquid Omega-3 dietary supplements market. Whether the customer takes it straight on a spoon, mix it into a drink or take it wrapped in a gel cap, this product will not disappoint! We offer less expensive CLO alternatives for applications less sensitive to taste.

CLO has historically been consumed for its vitamin A and D content, but more importantly today, as a source of DHA and EPA rich Omega-3. The Omega-3 content of this group of Omega-3 dietary supplements is about 25% of which the majority is DHA and EPA.

All our CLO’s are in compliance with Ph.Eur., USP and BP.

OMEGA-3 FISH OILS

Denomega Nutritional Oils offers a group of natural fish oils based on sardines, mackerel and herring with about 30% Omega-3 content. These oils have a wide application area including Omega-3 dietary supplements, specialty products, medical and pet foods.
