China Plans to Intensify Food Additive Inspection

The Chinese Government has drafted a plan to intensify the inspection system for the illegal use of non-edible materials and food additives.

The Ministry of Health and central government agencies will crack down on illegal acts committed by food producers, operators and businesses.

The plan requires improvements to the supervision mechanism of food additives and penalties for the illegal production and trading of non-edible materials intended for use in food products.
