Natural Dairy to Build NZ Dairy Processing Plant

Natural Dairy Holdings will build a NZ$20m dairy processing plant in Tauranga, New Zealand, as well as acquiring 16 Crafar dairy farms in the region.

The plant is expected to ship around 150 million packs of ultra high-temperature milk in the first year of operation.

Chinese investors have also backed Natural Dairy’s acquisition proposal and initiated plans to seek support for the takeover of Crafar’s 16 central North Island farms.

Natural Dairy said equipment leasing arrangements for the proposed milk facility are being negotiated.
