Tyson Foods Profit Rises

Tyson Foods has reported a Q3 net income of $248m, up from $131m a year earlier.

The US meat processor said its pork sales increased 32% to $1.25bn, while operating profit rose nearly fourfold to $125m.

The company’s beef sales rose 13% to $3.15bn and operating profit doubled to $176m.

Tyson Foods said its sales volume increased due to the rise in international acquisitions and a surge in domestic customer demand.

The firm said its chicken sales rose 4.6% to $2.53bn and operating profit increased 30% to $186m.
