ADFCA Recalls Juice for Containing Pork Particles

The Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has recalled some Del Monte-branded juice after they were found to contain pork derivatives.

The ADFCA said Del Monte canned pineapple juice imported from the Philippines was recalled as its ingredients contained pork particles, which was mentioned on the product label.

Distribution of a canned mango drink from Melco, manufactured in Sharjah, was stopped due to manufacturing defects, the ADFCA said.

Bromium content was found to be in excess of the permitted limit in 6l water bottles manufactured by Pure Spring Water.

The authority, which confiscated the products from the market in March, said they will remain banned in the emirate, according to khaleejtimes.com.
