Kazakhstan Unveils Device to Detect Pork Content in Food

Kazakhstan scientists have developed a device capable of detecting pork in any food item.

The device tests food for molecules that are found only in pork, Megapolis Express Weekly reports.

The instant test aims to bust a practice in Kazakhstan where chefs add pork to beef dishes to make them cheaper.

The device uses anti-bodies that react with a pig’s muscle tissue in the same way a pregnancy test reacts with chemicals in a mother’s urine.
