Tri-State and Redwood to offer organic soybean products

US-based companies Tri-State Crush and the Redwood Group have formed a strategic relationship for the creation of an additional outlet for local producers in order to market their products and connect end-users to the source more effectively.

Tri-State Crush is an organic and non-genetically modified (non-GMO) soybean crush facility located in Nappanee, Indiana, while Redwood is a commodity supply chain and merchandising company based in Mission, Kansas.

Redwood is expected to procure organic and non-GMO soybeans for the Tri-State Crush plant under the collaboration, as well as market the meal and oil derived from the extrusion process.

Tri-State Crush owner Travis Luke said: “We are excited to bring these growing markets back to our community here in Indiana.

“The partnership with Redwood will contribute to our ability to give our organic and non-GMO customers a secure, reliable and efficient supply of product.”

The new collaboration will combine the companies’ respective expertise in logistics, sourcing, and quality assurance programmes with a facility capable of supplying organic, non-GMO products.

It will also offer a transparent and sustainable supply chain to support the growing industry.
