Taekyung Food & Processing proposes strategic alliance with Beston Global Food

Australia-based Beston Global Food Co (BFC) has secured a proposal from Taekyung Food & Processing (TFP), a unit of South Korean firm Nongshim Group. 

TFP approached BFC for 'forming a strategic alliance' to supply the latter's products in South Korea.

BFC was quoted by the Just-food.com as stating: "The proposal is general in nature and does not set out any specific arrangements at this point.

"BFC will consider the proposal and have further discussions with TFP as part of BFC's strategy to broaden its distribution networks in global food markets."

The firm has been expanding its presence in Asia through partnerships with local companies.

Last month, BFC formed a strategic alliance with Chinese catering and foodservice online platform JM WOWO.

In April, BFC announced that it will partner with Hondo Agricultural Co. Chinese meat processor to market ready-to-eat meals in China.
