Mother Raw secures funding to accelerate growth across North America

Canadian plant-based condiments brand Mother Raw has closed its Series A financing round to accelerate growth across the North American market.

The C$6.1m ($4.6m) funding round was led byExport Development Canada (EDC) and new investor Forage Capital Partners.

Existing investor Whitecap Venture Partners also participated in the funding round.

Based in Toronto, Mother Raw offers plant-powered dressings, marinades, dips, condiments and quesos. Its products are currently available in more than 3,700 stores across North America.

Mother Raw intends to use the money to expand its distribution footprint, increase research and development efforts for new product innovation, and enhance its marketing and sales initiatives.

The company noted that the new investment will be used to further advance its mission ‘Put Good on Good’, which encourages everyone everywhere to eat more plants.
