Morinaga expands partnership with DKSH into Vietnam

Japanese confectionery company Morinaga has extended its partnership with market expansion services provider DKSH to the Vietnamese market.

The companies already have an established partnership in Hong Kong and Singapore. They aim to strengthen their relationship with this new collaboration.

DKSH’s business unit Consumer Goods will work towards Morinaga’s growth in the confectionery sector in Vietnam.

It will focus in particular on improving the visibility of Morinaga’s Hi-Chew and Dars Chocolate brands.

Moringa Asia-Pacific managing director Teruhiro Kwabe said: “DKSH has been a strategic business partner for us, helping us drive sales of multiple brands across the region.

“With this partnership expansion, we want to leverage DKSH’s strong capabilities in Vietnam to enhance the reach to our target audience. We strongly believe that we will see extensive growth in the coming months and years.”

DKSH will leverage its presence in convenience stores (CVS) and its comprehensive coverage in modern trade.

Consumer Goods head Terry Seremetis said: “We are thrilled to expand our regional collaboration with Morinaga to Vietnam.

“This extension is another true testament to our strength in this key market. Furthermore, adding Hi-Chew and Dars Chocolate to our brand portfolio will help us keep driving the distribution of confectionery amongst Vietnamese households.”

Established in 1899 in Japan, Morinaga manufactures a wide range of products, including confectioneries and frozen desserts.
