CH Guenther & Son (CHG) has completed the acquisition of Cookietree Bakeries for an undisclosed sum.

CHG is a manufacturer of branded and private label food products, while Cookietree is a producer of cookies.

Both companies involved in the transaction are based in the US.

CHG’s products are supplied to quick-service restaurants (QSRs), fast-casual restaurants, club stores and retailers.

Cookietree will continue to operate under the same brand upon the completion of the deal.

Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) intends to acquire an 80% stake in Gourmet Delica from Kewpie.

Gourmet Delica was initially established in 1990 and is primarily a producer of pre-cooked rice and other food products that are commonly used in lunch boxes.

The company sells the majority of its products to MC Group firm Lawson.

MC will also acquire Gourmet Delica’s Lawson-related business units under the deal, while the remaining frozen confectionery production operations are to be conducted under the new name SokaDelica.

Kewpie will own a 20% stake in Gourmet Delica and continue to work with MC upon the completion of the acquisition.

MC aims to fortify its integrated supply chain to offer value-added products and improve Lawson’s customer satisfaction ratings via the arrangement.

AT is a seabass and seabream hatcher based in North Africa.

The company’s estimated annual production capacity is 20 million fingerlings and 1,500t of fish, which are distributed across both local and international markets.

The acquisition forms part of Sokotra’s investment strategy, which focuses on the agriculture and aquaculture sectors in Africa and South East Asia.
