Mantrose-Haeuser acquires Profile Food Ingredients

RPM International subsidiary Mantrose-Haeuser has acquired US-based dry stabiliser and emulsifier blends manufacturer Profile Food Ingredients.

Profile Foods manufactures speciality product formulations, used in baked goods, confectionery, dips, dressings, sauces, dairy products and beverage products.

The company has annual net sales of nearly $25m and manufactures products in its Safe Quality Food-certified facility.

Profile Food’s product line promotes uniformity, enhances texture, thickens, prevents separation and extends shelf life. It includes clean-label, non-GMO, organic and natural solutions.

RPM chairman and CEO Frank Sullivan said: “Profile Food Ingredients is a strong synergistic fit with our Mantrose-Haeuser business and its Holton Food Products subsidiary, which will enable us to accelerate both top and bottom-line growth of the companies.

“This acquisition presents significant opportunities to leverage the combined sales forces of the entities, expand sales of speciality ingredients to the food industry and broaden our reach in international markets.

“We welcome founder Ted Benic and the Profile Food Ingredients management team to the RPM family of companies and look forward to supporting their continuing growth.”

Mantrose-Haeuser produces edible coatings, stabilisers and speciality ingredients for the food and beverage and agricultural industries.

Neither company has divulged any financial details of the deal.

In February 2016, Mantrose-Haeuser acquired Holton Food Products Company, which supplies food stabiliser and dry egg white products.
