KPM Analytics acquires Italian firm EyePro System

US-based instrumentation solutions provider KPM Analytics has acquired EyePro System, an Italian company that offers vision inspection technology and vision-based process control solutions for the baking and snack industries.

Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.

KPM Analytics CEO Brian Mitchell said: “We are very excited to have EyePro join KPM Analytics as we build a business seeking to better serve our customers in the food industries.

“EyePro has established itself as a pioneer in the growing market for vision inspection systems, mainly in the area of baked foods production. EyePro’s technology and product offerings are highly complementary to those of our Sightline Process Control brand.”

The combination of EyePro and Sightline product lines of KPM Analytics is expected to offer 100% in-line inspection capability and automatic defect removal system, which will help users to boost productivity and product quality while reducing production costs.

The acquisition is expected to help KPM Analytics to serve food manufacturing and processing markets with true colour, 3D, and hyperspectral vision inspection systems.

According to the agreement, EyePro will continue its business and operations from its headquarters in Trento, Italy.

Additionally, the deal between the two companies is expected to lead to improved sales and increased manufacturing capacity and regional presence.
