Deals this week: Stryve Foods LLC, Memphis Meats, Bright Blue Foods Limited

US-based snack company Stryve Foods has taken over certain assets belonging to Biltong USA, with the aim of growing in the protein snack industry.

Biltong USA is a producer of biltong, sliced beef biltong, and droëwors.

Following the deal, Biltong USA will start production for Stryve Foods, while continuing with its brand production.

Memphis Meats has raised funds from Tyson New Ventures in order to accelerate its product development efforts.

Based in the US, Memphis Meats is a meat company, while Tyson New Ventures is a venture capital firm also in the US.

Bright Blue Foods Limited (formerly McCambridge Foods Ltd) has agreed to acquire Greencore Group’s cakes and desserts business based in Hyll and Evercreech, UK.

Bright Blue Foods Limited is a UK-based cake producer, while Greencore Group is a food company based in Ireland.

Rabo Equity Advisors Private Limited has invested $10m in Global Gourmet Pvt Ltd through the India Agri Business Fund II.

Based in India, Global Gourmet Pvt Ltd is a frozen food product producer and supplier, while India Agri Business Fund II is a private equity fund managed by Rabo Equity Advisors Private Limited also based in India.

Global Gourmet intends to use the funds to increase its presence both regionally and internationally and venture into value-added shrimps as well as other protein-based products.

Fairfields Farm Produce Ltd intends to buy Ten Acre brand from UK-based Yumsh Snacks Ltd.

Yumsh Snacks Ltd is a producer of a variety of snacks that include potato crisps, popcorn, and vegetable crisps.

Also based in the UK, Fairfields Farm Produce is a snack company.
