Deals this week: Hu Master Holdings, Landus, MEGASTAR FOODS

Hu Master Holdings LLC (operating as Hu Products) has closed a Series A funding round led by Sonoma Brands.

Hu Master Holdings is a producer of organic, paleo and vegan chocolate, while Sonoma is a food and beverage products incubator and venture fund. The companies are based and operated in the US.

Hu Products plans to use funds to strengthen its health and wellness business.

Landus Cooperative has agreed to purchase a grain facility owned by Archer Daniels Midland Co (ADM).

The acquisition will enable Landus to add more than 2.3 million bushels of grain storage capacity and 770,000 bushels of upright storage. Landus will also gain 1.5 million bushels of bunker storage and a receiving capacity of 32,000 bushels an hour.

Landus is a farmer-owned agricultural co-operative operator, while ADM is a food processing and commodities trading corporation. Both parties are US-based.

MEGASTAR FOODS LIMITED plans to raise Rs80.4m ($1.19m) through an initial public offering (IPO) of 2.6 million equity shares priced at Rs30 ($0.44) a share.

Based in India, MEGASTAR FOODS is a producer of wheat flour, organic wheat flour, and related products.

Makarony Polskie SA plans to raise up to $1.67m through an initial public offering of not more than two million series F shares priced at $0.83 a share.

Additionally, Makarony plans to issue no more than two million unsecured bonds at an issue price of no less than $0.83.

Based in Poland, Makarony Polskie is a producer of pasta products.

Grubhub has partnered with Jack in the Box to provide door-to-door delivery in multiple locations across the US.

The partnership involves the integration of Grubhub’s point-of-sale (PoS) system into Jack in the Box’s in-house system, which will enable restaurant operators to manage both in-house and delivery orders from one device.

Grubhub is an online and mobile food-ordering company, while Jack in the Box is a fast food restaurant chain operator. Both companies are based in the US.
