Deals this week: Ample Foods, Sanwaria, Picard Groupe

Ample Foods has secured $2m through a seed financing round led by Slow Ventures.

The transaction brings the total funding from Slow Ventures to $4m.

Based in the US, Ample Foods is a nutrition start-up company that provides drinkable meals made from real food ingredients.

The company plans to utilise the proceeds to expand its presence in the healthy and drinkable meal market.

Sanwaria has agreed to raise Rs4bn ($59.76m) through either private placement of shares to foreign institutional investors (FII) or through mutual funds.

The company has raised Rs1bn ($14.93m) by issuing 28.5 million equity shares priced at Rs35 ($0.52) a share to its promoters, as part of the transaction.

Based in India, Sanwaria is a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) food products company.

The company plans to use the funds to expand its production capacity and for working capital purposes.

Picard Groupe has raised €1.25bn ($1.46m) through a public offering of new debt notes.

Due November 2023, the notes carry a coupon rate of 3%+Euribor3M a year.

Based in France, Picard Groupe is a frozen food retailer.

Kellogg Company has raised $600m through a public offering of 4.3% senior notes due 2028.

Interest on the notes is payable on 15 May and 15 November of each year commencing from 15 November.

Kellogg Company has simultaneously raised $400m through a public offering of 3.25% senior notes due 2021.

Based in the US, Kellogg is a producer and marketer of ready-to-eat cereal and convenience food products.

Mondelez International has raised $700m in a public offering of notes.

Due 2028, the notes carry a coupon rate of 4.125% a year.

Mondelez additionally raised $750m, $300m and $750m through three public offerings of notes.

The notes carry coupon rates of 3.625%, 4.625% and 3% and are due 2023, 2048 and 2020 respectively.

Based in the US, Mondelez is a producer and marketer of snack food and beverage products.

The company plans to use the funds towards the repayment of outstanding amounts under its revolving credit agreement and for other general corporate purposes.
