Y-Cook India Private Limited has raised $5m through a series B financing round led by venture capital firms 021 Capital, Oikocredit International and Omnivore Partners.

Y-Cook is a food processing company that provides ready-to-cook processed foods.

The company’s products, including vegetables, fruits and lentils, are marketed under the Ta-daa brand.

All companies involved in the transaction are based in India.

Y-Cook plans to use the funds to renovate its factory, as well as acquire certifications and expand the company’s marketing initiatives.

PT Panca Mitra Multiperdana has raised IDR942.9m ($66.6m) via an initial public offering (IPO) of shares of its common stock.

“The Arab Dairy Products Co plans to raise a total of EGP100m ($5.57m) through a private placement of 100 million shares priced at EGP1 ($0.05) a share.”

The company primarily produces and processes fish products for the food services and retail markets.

The funds are intended to be used for working capital and capital expenditure.

Hack Things LLC (Crowd Cow) has raised $8m through a series A venture financing round from Madrona Venture Group LLC.

Hack Things produces meat products, while Madrona Venture Group is a venture capital firm.

Both companies are based in the US.

Hack Things plans to use the funding to add new farms to its online platform, as well as improve its supply chain and explore new flavours such as Craft Beef, Pastured Chicken and Heritage Pork.

The Arab Dairy Products Co plans to raise a total of EGP100m ($5.57m) through a private placement of 100 million shares priced at EGP1 ($0.05) a share.

The Arab Dairy Products is an Egyptian producer and seller of white, processed, Swiss and Italian cheese products.

Dairy Crest Group plc has raised £70m ($94.04m) via a private placement of more than 14 million new ordinary shares priced at £4.95 ($6.65) a share.

Dairy Crest is a UK-based provider of dairy products and ingredients.

The company plans to use the funds for improvement works at its Davidstow creamery.

Greenhill & Co and Rabobank Group were appointed as joint financial advisers for the offering.

Saputo Inc has agreed to acquire Shepherd Gourmet Dairy (Ontario) Inc for a sum of C$100m ($78.21m) to increase its presence in the speciality cheese and yoghurt market.

Saputo produces, markets and distributes a wide array of dairy products, while Shepherd Gourmet is a producer of Greek yoghurts.

Both companies involved in the transaction are based in Canada.

The deal is currently expected to close in June.
