ANF to increase production capacity in Thailand and US

US-based plant-based shelf-stable foods manufacturer Atlantic Natural Foods (ANF) has announced that it is increasing the production capacity at its joint venture (JV) operation in Thailand with Pattaya Food Group under Healthy Life Foods.

The company has also decided to raise manufacturing capacity at its North Carolina facility to meet increased product demand by adding new staff members and equipment.

Atlantic Natural Foods chairman Douglas Hines said: “In 2016, we committed to bringing tasty, shelf-stable, better-for-you, portable foods to the world at a good value, and we’re pleased to experience a 40% sales increase year over year.

“In seeing our strongest numbers to date in 2020 with more and more people seeking plant-based and shelf-stable options, we’re committed to continually innovating to meet growing consumer demand – all while maintaining the safety and wellbeing of our employees.”

Since January, ANF has been focusing on increasing its operations in North Carolina and Thailand.

As part of this initiative, the manufacturer restructured operations in Thailand to build a 47,000ft² facility by June.

Once completed, the new facility will be the first space in Thailand that will fully be dedicated to shelf-stable, plant-based foods production.

The new facility will be engaged in the production of Loma Linda ready-to-eat (RTE) meal solutions and meal starters, as well as the company’s Tuno seafood alternative products.

ANF has also announced that it will be launching two new shelf-stable, plant-based meal solutions, including Hawaiian Bowl and Ultimate Vegetarian Chil under its Loma Linda brand.

The new products are developed in collaboration with Costco and will be introduced in the market in the upcoming months with the Hawaiian Bowl.

Last December, ANF announced that it will expand its product portfolio across the country.

The company will debut its plant-based Chipotle Bowl Meal Solution as part of the expansion. More than 500 Costco stores throughout the North American market will stock it.
