Optima Group Consumer is a manufacturer of packaging solutions in the food, cosmetics and chemical industry, and a specialist in filtration technique.
Since August, Joachim Dittrich has held the position of managing director for the consumer division of Optima Filling and Packaging Machines. Dr Georg Pfeifer holds this position for the nonwovens (paper hygiene) division.
About Joachim Dittrich
The 46-year-old Hamburg-born Joachim Dittrich has extensive experience in the manufacture of packaging equipment. After graduating from high school and completing his vocational training as an automotive mechanic, and studies in mechanical engineering, he started his professional career as a design engineer with Topack Verpackungstechnik. Topack is a subsidiary of Hauni Maschinenbau, constructing packaging lines for the cigarette industry.
After ten years, Joachim Dittrich began his career in management. After holding positions as a technical sales manager through to a deputy managing director, he transferred to the Senning company based in Bremen, holding the position of technical managing director responsible for the construction of packaging lines for the tissue industry. In 2006, Joachim Dittrich assumed all responsibility for the technical management at Benz & Hilgers in Neuss (Oystar Group).
Since April 2010 he has contributed his comprehensive know-how to the Optima Group Consumer division and was appointed as managing director in August.
