Dairy ingredients company Meadow Cheese has launched a new low-fat dessert mousse base range available in either rich chocolate or neutral for blending with fruit.
Supplied chilled, the new ready-to-whip base contains 3% fat and is ideal for making a variety of desserts, giving a quality taste and an excellent aerated texture.
The chocolate mousse has a rich chocolate flavour and is delicious on its own or as a pudding component. The natural mousse base can be whipped with fruit juice or pureed fruit such as mango, strawberry, cherry or blueberry. Both products provide a strong overrun, maintaining both sweetness and texture in the finished dessert.
Simply aerate the ready-to-whip base, deposit as required – it can be layered – then chill for up to 12 hours dependent in the overrun used. The mousse is then ready to serve.
Pork gelatine free and so suitable for vegetarians, the new low-fat dessert mousse range is available in 10kg bags and has a shelf life of three months.
