
Major confectioner Hershey Int has announced that Joseph M. Buron, acting GM, Hershey International Weston, has been promoted to GM, Hershey International Weston.
VP Jay F. Carr said: “Joe assumed a significant increase in responsibility when he accepted the role of acting GM in January. He is the right person to lead Hershey International Weston to future growth consistent with our strategic direction.”
Buron began his career with Hershey in 1984, as a sales representative in Hershey Chocolate’s field sales organisation. He was promoted to various field sales positions prior to transferring to the home office in Hershey, Pa., in 1990.
In 1994, Buron accepted an assignment with Hershey Mexico as director, sales and lLogistics, also serving on Hershey Mexico’s Management Committee. Returning to the US in 1997, he joined Hershey International as director, export marketing. Prior to his current role, Buron held the positions of GM, exports, and GM, Latin America and exports.
