Temptee Specialty merges with Johnson Food Products in US
US-based family owned meat and food products producer Temptee Specialty Foods has merged with Johnson Food Products, the maker of Johnson Chili.
Johnson Chili is prepared with beef and pork combined with a special blend of chillies and spices. The product is inspected by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Johnson Chili has been offering its products to the communities located in the Colorado Springs region since 1953. According to Temptee, the original recipe has not been altered.
As part of the merger, Temptee has made a significant investment in the successful launch of Johnson Chili. The company has established a new sales management with Jennifer Smith appointed as the new vice-president of sales.
To support the growth of Johnson Chili, Temptee has also purchased specialised equipment that flash freeze the product while complying with the USDA quality control standards and commitment to safety.
As part of a country-wide rollout of the brand, Temptee has launched Johnson Chili Original and Hot-N-Spicy Chili with meat brands in the Rocky Mountain and Southwest regions.
Temptee is currently engaged in recruiting Johnson Chili distribution partners, retailers and restaurant owners located across the US in order to further expand the distribution network and its presence in consumer markets.
