Nestlé Health Science introduces Compleat Family of Tube-Feeding Formulas in US

Nestlé Health Science has introduced a new and improved Compleat family of tube-feeding formulas for adults and children.

The company has added that its three formulas, namely Compleat, Compleat Pediatric and Compleat Pediatric Reduced Calorie, include a variety of ingredients from real foods, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients.

Nestlé Health Science medical nutrition business medical affairs director Carol Siegel said: “For over 40 years, the Compleat family of formulas has been trusted as a consistent nutrition solution that includes ingredients from real foods.

“We’ve built on this strong legacy and are proud to offer an improved blend of nutrients that addresses the evolving needs of patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals by providing an increased amount and variety of real food ingredients.”

The company claims that its new Compleat family of formulas features a blend of six fruit and vegetable ingredients such as tomatoes, peaches, green beans, carrots, cranberry juice concentrate, and peas.

It also includes brown rice syrup and protein from milk protein concentrate, pea protein concentrate and dehydrated chicken powder. It does not include corn ingredients or soy ingredients.

The new product has been designed and developed to promote growth and development for children aged between one and 13 years, and the featured ingredient lists have also been simplified for patients and caregivers.

The company further added that the new Compleat formulas can be used as a sole source of nutrition for short- or long-term tube-feeding regimens.
