Diana Food acquires Nutra Canada

Diana Food has acquired Nutra Canada, a specialist manufacturer of fruit and vegetable extracts.

The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.

Established in 2008 and located in the province of Quebec, Nutra Canada specialises in extraction of organic molecules beneficial to human health.

Diana Food made this purchase as part of its growth and development strategy in the consumer health category.

According to Diana Food, this deal is an ideal synergy between the two companies’ expertise and product ranges.

As Nutra Canada is situated in the cranberry producing region, this purchase enables Diana Food to benefit from direct access to cranberries harvested in the region.

This sourcing proximity will also enable Diana Food to enhance its organic cranberry offerings.

Diana Food president Yannick Riou said: "The acquisition of Nutra Canada by Diana Food is perfectly in line with the company’s strategy.
