Deals this week: POS Bio-Sciences, Zebra Technologies, Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group


POS Bio-Sciences and Aperion Lanka have formed a partnership to develop an essential oil manufacturing facility in Sri Lanka.

The facility is scheduled to be operational by end of this year.

Zebra Technologies has announced a partnership with Bosch Connected Devices and Solutions and ARM to develop next-generation food safety solutions.

Zebra Technologies’ new smart refrigeration Internet of Things (IoT) solution will use wireless sensors, mobile computers and Zatar IoT cloud service. It uses Bosch’s cross domain development kit (XDK) and transport data logger (TDL) and ARM’s mbed platform.

The mbed-enabled Zebra’s Zatar IoT cloud service will be directly connected to XDK and TDL, and help the companies to manage the food supply chains.

Dairy products producer Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group has announced private placement of shares to raise $1.33bn.

The company plans to invest the funds in its projects and acquire a 37% stake in China Shengmu Organic Milk.

Poncho Hospitality has raised $7.46m in a series B funding round led by IIFL Seed Ventures and Mayfield Fund.

The company plans to use the proceeds to expand its geographical presence and strengthen its technological development.
