Deals this week: Harley Food Products, Jumia Group, Luvo

Harley Food Products will raise Rs3bn ($44.44m) from private equity firms to expand its business to new markets.

Based in India, Harley Food Products offers potato chips, fruit beverages and confectionery snacks.

Nigerian online platform Jumia Group has secured a $55m investment from CDC Group to grow its business.

Previously known as Africa Internet Group, the platform includes Jumia Food and Jumia Travel, Jumia Deals, Jumia House, Jumia Jobs, and Jumia Car.

CDC Group is a UK-based development finance institution.

Private frozen food company Luvo has secured $5.55m through a private offering of equity. The amount is part of a total proposed $14.87m to be raised.

Luvo is a Canadian producer and retailer of food products, including breakfasts, entrees, and burritos.
