Deals this week: Food2U, Sun Basket, Delivery Hero
Food delivery services provider Food2U has closed a seed funding round that has seen the participation of Zin Linn Aung, Ko Ko Gyi, Nay Min Thu, Kyaw Myo Thet and Yi Mon Han.
Based in Myanmar, the company expects to generate $0.7m in revenue in the current fiscal year.
The seed funding is to be invested in business expansion.
Sun Basket has raised $9.2m in a Series C-2 funding round from Unilever Ventures, Baseline Ventures and Founders Circle Capital.
As a result, the gross Series C funding available to the company has increased to $24.2m.
The funds are intended to be invested for the company’s national expansion.
Based in the US, Sun Basket delivers healthy organic meal kits.
Delivery Hero has announced that it has raised €0.39m ($0.42m) in venture funding from South African firm Naspers.
Delivery Hero is a Germany-based online food ordering platforms network operator, while Naspers is a multinational internet and media group.
UK-based online food and goods delivery platform Ridee (operating as Jinn) has raised $10m funding in a round led by Chinese venture capital firm STE Capital.
The funding was provided by the company’s existing investors and Spanish venture capital firm Samaipata Ventures.
