Dachan Food to invest in two projects in China

Meat supplier Dachan Food intends to invest in two projects located in Bengbu, Anhui Province, China, to facilitate the development of the processed food business.

The company has decided to go ahead with these two projects to increase the production in order to cater the growing demand for its processed food in the country.

Indirect subsidiaries Bengbu DaChan Food and Taixu & DaChan Foods will establish the new processed food plants.

The Bengbu DaChan project is expected to receive a total investment of approximately RMB200m ($28.7m), while roughly RMB100m ($14.3m) is to be invested in the Bengbu Taixu & Dachan project .

Dachan further explained that the Bengbu DaChan investment will be self-financed by the company through operational activities.

Upon completion, the company will combine the advantages of the integrated supply chain of its meat products and produce, as well as sell dependable and traceable processed food, which would double the production and sales capacity.
