Korean Scientists Develop Hangover-Free Booze

08 March 2010

Researchers in South Korea said they have developed a hangover-free alcoholic drink.

The researchers added extra oxygen to drinks and found that the body was able to metabolise and eliminate the alcohol quicker, reducing the after effects.

Test subjects who consumed more highly oxygenated drinks recovered faster and their blood alcohol levels returned to normalcy sooner, according to Sky News.

The respondents were given 240ml and 360ml drinks containing 19.5% alcohol by volume mixed with different amounts of oxygen.

Elevated dissolved oxygen concentrations in alcoholic drinks accelerate the metabolism and eliminate alcohol, according to the researchers.
