Term: Blow Moulding

Definition:

Blow moulding is a plastic polymer processing technique used in the production of hollow thermoplastic shapes, such as plastic bottles. Melted polymers are forced into a mould and then expanded to the shape of the mould by injecting a high pressure airflow. There are two categories of blow moulding: extrusion blow-moulding and injection blow-moulding.
