Hiperbaric Reveals Growth of HPP Technology

High-Pressure Processing (HPP) technology is continuing to grow on a worldwide scale.

Hiperbaric grew by 15% during 2014 and forecasts for 2015 indicate an organic growth in sales and turnover of more than 25%.

The company recently launched its largest and most productive high-pressure processing equipment, Hiperbaric 525.

Hiperbaric 525 systems are faster, more reliable, cheaper to run, and offer throughput of more than 2,800kg or litres of product per hour.

Hiperbaric will be participating in Anuga Foodtec and will present Hiperbaric 525 in Cologne.

In addition, Hiperbaric will be showcasing the most recent developments in automation, peripherals and customised HPP solutions.

The solutions are adapted to different food manufacturing spaces such as juices, beverages, food service applications, rice production, and meat and seafood.

North America continues to be the biggest market for Hiperbaric HPP technology, although consistent growth is occurring in other areas as well.

Cold pressed juices, toll processing and co-packing are driving success. In 2010, there were only 20 HPP juice brands and 12 HPP tolling stations in the world.

As of February 2015, more than 100 HPP juice brands and 40 HPP co-packers and tollers are available from Hiperbaric.
