FILTROX Presents Various Innovations at the ACHEMA 2006

FILTROX AG St. Gallen, Switzerland will exhibit at ACHEMA 2006. The company is excited to introduce several new and novel additions to its product offerings.
FILTROX boasts a long tradition of manufacturing top-quality filtration systems since its foundation in 1938. In the past few years the company's main focus has been on industrial beverage filtration, achieving market leadership in the field of industrial beer filtration plants. A few years ago, FILTROX once again began putting more emphasis on its filtration systems for the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotech market.
FILTROX is presenting its metal-free depth filter modules in various porosities and qualities. New disposable FILTROX mini-capsules will also be introduced. These capsules allow lab-scale testing of filtration steps in the process development phase. The entire range of FILTROX filter media is available in the mini-capsule format - making upscaling to industrial production an easy task.
Another new and innovative product is negatively charged filter sheets (patent pending), which offer a wide new field of applications in depth filtration.
As a manufacturer of both filter media and filter equipment FILTROX is happy to introduce some developments in the area of apparatus:
* The 60 mm lab filter for the development and small-scale testing of filtration steps, as an alternative to disposable mini-capsules
* The Novox OD series, the first completely gasket-free sheet filter built according pharmaceutical standards
* Double-jacketed module housings which allow for temperature control during filtration
* A special top-loading module housing with slurry-bag. This filter allows separation of high-volume slurries like carbon catalysts in a closed system. The slurry can be safely removed together with the used module for further treatment or disposal.
